Dance is the language that has the potential to express things words are not able to capture. If we let our bodies fallow our deep essence we are able to create magic through direct, alive, full breath movements.
To dive into the field of this force is addictive – that’s where the dance starts and my belief into the art of motion, in us, into the world, in this life.

The idea and vision is born - now the search begins for the right people to walk off with me on this journey.

There are two Tryout/Auditions happening: One in March in Switzerland and one in May in Paris. For the one in Solothurn the application is closed and the preselection is done. The one in Paris is now open for Applications:

Tryout – Workshop: 17th to the 20th of May 2012 with Anja Gysin CH
In the process of creating my new dance-theater-piece for 2013 and the new formation of the Company - "betweenlines" - I put up a Tryout -Workshop for the 17th to the 20th of Mary 2012 in micadanses Paris. 

Background: From January to June 2012 I am in residence at the Cité International des Art in Paris. In these six months I do research about the theme "home". Out of this I will create a solo for myself and an evening-length group piece with the new formed company “betweenlines”. The rehearsal will start in the beginning of 2013 in Switzerland with a creation time of 6 weeks. 

Who I’m looking for: Professional and experienced amateur dancers and performers, with an inner desire to dance and move. From the technical aspect, you should be able to dance different qualities, energies, feelings and physical states. To have an open body that is fluid and willing to get new impulses. Experience in improvisation and free-dance are welcomed.
For me it is important to co-create with my dancers/performers. I'm interested in the people who I'm working with - interested in there one individuality, there one dance expressions and approach. You need to feel a necessarily to dance and to be willing to dive in a personal as well as in a group process. 

Theme: Home - I work with the interior as exterior home. Where is my home? What does it mean? Is there a core of accompanying me? I want to explore different states in this area. Different places in us, as well different constellations with the group, the different feelings, energies, needs and wishes. How do we define our home in this busy, traveling time? Is it something spiritual?
In this dance piece, I would like to use the home to the dance and say things / cores with the body, which are difficult or impossible with spoken language. Release from the "contemporary dance movements" and hand over to the body and let it speak the pure core.

Anja Gysin: Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher. She creates since 2006 her one work in Solos, Duets and Group work. She is interested in the human being and the mystery that never vanishes around life. Since January she is for 6 month in Paris in the Cité international des Art to do research for her next work. She was rewarded with the “Werkjahresbeitrag 2010” and now with the Atelier in Paris 2012.
